Description: Roy Heim moved to Tulsa in 1951 with his family. His dad established Majestic Ornamental Ironworks in west Tulsa where Roy learned to weld. After Central High School Roy joined the Air Force where he was a loadmaster. He was on more than 1,000 C130s missions carrying cargo into Viet Nam. Roy served the police department and Tulsa for 37 years, much of it in homicide and including being on the Special Operations Team. He describes the "Gray Squad" of civilian volunteers who help solve cases.
Roy received extensive training in forensic dentistry and blood stain analysis. He belonged to the International Assoc. Blood Stain Panel Analysis and the International Association of Identification and served as President of the Association Crime Scene Reconstruction. Roy investigated the Lee's Chicken House Murders and the murder of young Justin Wills. He also served at the Murrah Building Bombing and the Twin Towers Collapse recoveries and investigations.
