Description: Kathleen's grandparents and her dad Robert "Boots" McCoy lived through the Black Sunday dustbowl in Guymon, OK. Boots was featured on Ken Burns' Movie on OETA. Ted and Kathy moved from Texas to Tulsa in 1981. He worked at the Corp of Engineers and she worked at the Neo Natal Intensive Care Center at St. Francis Hospital for 20 years. Today they volunteer at Porte Chile Hospice, a Weekly Protest at the Jail for immigrants, the Dan Allen Center for Social Justice, and the Ancient Forest trails.
