L’Dor V’Dor: Generation to Generation

A History of Tulsa’s Jewish Community 

Now for sale in the museum gift kiosk ($20) and showing at Circle Cinema 

This documentary tells the story of Tulsa’s Jewish Community from its arrival in America, to its settling in Indian Territory, to its contemporary commitment to our city. Highlights include Jewish-owned retail businesses, oil and related industry pioneers, and local philanthropies that have helped Tulsa to grow and prosper. The film explores the human condition of our city’s collective history. Themes of persistence in the face of hardship and discrimination, institutional racism, the taking of responsibility and ownership for one’s community, and dreams of a better life are addressed.
