From its founding, Tulsa has always been a city that values art. The Grand Opera House predated both statehood and a system for running water. Today, one cannot go far without seeing evidence of Tulsa’s artistic spirit from murals downtown to statues on Riverside. From subject matter to material to the city the artists called home, this exhibit is a small sampling of Tulsa’s artistic heritage.
