Geometry & Ornamentation: Art Deco in Tulsa

Geometry & Ornamentation: Art Deco in Tulsa

through April 2018

As one of the favorite and most well-known architectural and decorative styles of the modern era, Art Deco is found all around Tulsa. From the lines and shapes that create ornamentation on downtown buildings to clothing, furniture, and household furnishings the popular style is filled with bold lines, geometric shapes, metallic finishes, and the newest materials available at the time. This exhibit will showcase a number of art deco household furnishings, architectural elements from buildings that once displayed Tulsa’s modernism, and interior and exterior photos of structures that exemplified the style.
