Since its founding in 1922, Theatre Tulsa has entertained audiences for more than 90 years and holds the title of the oldest, continuously operating theater west of the Mississippi. Those nine decades have been filled with productions, actors, costumes and props that all have interesting tales to tell. Many of those items are spotlighted in the Theatre Tulsa exhibit, which will run through August 31. Theatre Tulsa will also present a series of performance and lecture programs in August at the Tulsa Historical Society:

Thursday, August 22 – Special performance by Theatre Tulsa’s Reader’s Club: Suppressed Desire by Susan Glaspell and In The Land of Heart’s Desire by William Butler Yeats

Thursday, August 29 – Behind-the-scenes preview of Legally Blonde! The Musical
