To help celebrate the opening of the new Dream Exhibit, the Tulsa Children’s  Museum will be at THS Wednesday, Nov. 16th thru Saturday, November 19th with special activities designed for children. A TCM Playologist will be here from 2:00-4:00 pm each day with something new to do. Don’t miss out on this special opportunity to dream.

Daily Activities:

Wednesday, November 16th – One City, One Book Come, listen, and explore the book Dream: A Tale of Wonder, Wisdom, and Wishes as part of the “Dream Exhibit.” Tulsa Children’s Museum’s playologist will read the book to the group, lead a discussion, and lead parents and children through an art activity that will help “grow” their dreams.

Thursday, November 17th – How to Draw a Face
Everyone has a distinct face that helps to tell their story. Come learn how to draw a face and practice drawing your own face and or a friend’s face!

Friday, November 18th – Past, Present, and Future
How is the past different from today? How will tomorrow be different as well? Explore the past and present by learning how to read a photograph from the Tulsa Historical Societies photo collection. Then draw a representation of how you think the future will be different!

Saturday, November 19th – Origami Dream Stars
Origami stars have a long tradition in Asian cultures. They bring good luck when you make them and when you give them away. Making them is fun – and addictive! They’re also an opportunity to become aware of, focus on, and share your hopes and dreams. This workshop is good for all ages! We will have simple and simplest stars to make for our youngest members.
